while on the subject, is there an advantage or disadvantage saving a movie as
a .wmm or as a .avi? Any format better than the other to play on the
computer? Any one better to play on a regular DVD player when burnt? Thank

DV-AVI is usually better for regular DVDs but WMV often looks better when
playing on a computer. It often depends on the content. If using WMV files
see the Save Movies > Custom WMV profiles page of my website for higher
quality options.
