I was trying to install Windows Update Services 3.0 SP2 and my server
shutdown unexpectedly. Then, when I tried to uninstall, it failed. Now I can
neither update or uninstall.

Does anyone know how to manually uninstall WSUS 3.0 SP1 and 2?

What errors are you seeing? If the server "shut down" then the uninstall
should've been rolled back.

If, however, the server unexpected lost power or blue-screened without a
proper shutdown, you probably have larger issues and the WSUS issues are
just a symptom. Knowing what is happening in detail would be beneficial in
determing what is happening.

Agreeing with Cliff.

How are your backups. Restoring "yesterday" is probably/may be the quickest
way out of this.

Hello,

Thanks for your post.

Like Cliff and Larry indicated, we may need further more information such as Event logs or error messages when you install/uninstall WSUS 3.0. If you don't have any previous good
backup to restore, you may try to download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301). Then remove the WSUS 3.0 item from the list
of Installed Products.

Hope this helps.
