From: Atilla Gultekin on 2 Sep 2005 04:55 Hello, is it possible to read remote client's wake on LAN parameter setting (on or off) via vbscript? Thanks in advance.
From: MrSpockLogic on 2 Sep 2005 14:25 I don't think so. But you should download Scriptomatic from Microsoft, which has every WMI function under the sun. There's a lot of stuff, even down to the device level, however IIRC you cannot actually change the BIOS from within Windows. Activating Wake on LAN still requires a desktop visit. I'd love to be proven wrong, but I didn't see anything in WMI that would do it. Good luck.
From: Kevin on 12 Sep 2005 14:57 Check out the DELL DCCU. It will create an exe that can be called from logon script to set the Wake on Lan setting on a computer. The EXE can also be sent via SMS as a package so all your computers get it.
