Sundry Mathematical Topics, by Dave Vasholz Abstract. We will use Mathematica to manipulate equations, verify identities, and typeset mathematics. Banach Spaces: A Book Review, by Jess Porter Abstract. Jess is having a blast working his way through the book A Short Course on Banach Spaces by N.L. Carouthers, and will report on what he has learned. Jess will also zero in on some comments in the Preface, and will relay some experiences while at the University of Pennsylvania in the 1980s. 2.
