Weird Behavior of GraphicsGrid[ ], by Dave Vasholz

Abstract. This short talk (scheduled for the last meeting but not given)
will describe strange behavior of GraphicsGrid.

Dynamic Image Manipulation, by Dan Martinez

Abstract. We will demonstrate how to combine Mathematica's dynamic controls
with Version 7's image processing functions.

Sundry Mathematical Topics, by Dave Vasholz

Abstract. We will use Mathematica to manipulate equations, verify
identities, and typeset mathematics.

Banach Spaces: A Book Review, by Jess Porter

Abstract. Jess is having a blast working his way through the book A Short
Course on Banach Spaces by N.L. Carouthers, and will report on what he has
learned. Jess will also zero in on some comments in the Preface, and will
relay some experiences while at the University of Pennsylvania in the 1980s.

2. Mathematica Gems and Discoveries

Sharing of Mathematica programming oddities

Enterprise Building at south corner of Westpark Drive and Greensboro Drive):


>From the Beltway, go northwest on Route 7 (Leesburg Pike) and proceed past
Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road). Turn right onto Westpark Drive (Gosnell Road
in the other direction). Turn right at the next light onto Greensboro Drive
and then right into the parking lot. Visitor's Parking is adjacent to
Westpark Drive.

A SIG representative will meet you in the lobby.

Please arrive no later than 6:50AM if you wish to join us for a dutch-treat
breakfast, and no later than 7:20AM to attend the meeting only. The desk
officer will ask for a driver's license before issuing a visitor's badge.
