Sometimes links get posted just to increase their value in the eyes of a search engine. The more places that link to a site, the more popular or relevent the link seems to be and thus gets a higher placement in the search result list. In fact, the links appearing here (Usenet) get leeched to web to Usenet gateway 'forums' thus giving them even more percieved credibility. The best thing to do when re-posting such is to obfuscate the URLs.

The author may have malware that generates the addresses and simultaneously automatically registers domains by using the same algorithm. Such domains web pages may have exploit kits for the various browsers it is likely to be visited by. Some may only be valid for some number of hours before they move on to the next generated domain name. ....still, it is best to obfuscate such things just to be safe.
