From: faceman28208 on 13 Jan 2010 17:26 The font dialog box shows three states for the check boxes when used with a character style: Checked Grayed/Checked Unchecked In my experimentation, I can find no difference in behavior between Grayed/Checked and unchecked. Is there any different? Why are there three states here?
From: Doug Robbins - Word MVP on 17 Jan 2010 17:39 You will see Grayed and Checked if the selection contains multiple characters to only some of which the particular attribute is applied. For example if you select two words, one of which is formatted as being in Small Caps and the other is not. -- Hope this helps, Doug Robbins - Word MVP Please reply only to the newsgroups unless you wish to obtain my services on a paid professional basis. <faceman28208(a)yahoo.com> wrote in message news:cfbb01f6-0430-4e6c-9cd2-c9af32e90fd3(a)21g2000yqj.googlegroups.com... > The font dialog box shows three states for the check boxes when used > with a character style: > > Checked > Grayed/Checked > Unchecked > > In my experimentation, I can find no difference in behavior between > Grayed/Checked and unchecked.
