Just curious where all the files went. Anyone know what happened? Has there been some sort of crackdown?

Maybe the spacetime model he has been building for the past few years finally imploded into a black hole and took everything with it ...

The files are still there but they have crossed inside the Schwarzschild radius and are no longer visible. Unfortunately that means the information is almost perpetually preserved though Hawking asserts that eventually the black hole will leak radiation sufficient to lose the data. Entropy is our friend.

As a serious comment, the recent alterations to the FEX are appreciated here and the positive effects were immedietely evident. Tough appropriate action deserves acknowledgement.
