Yes, assuming it doesn't disappear from the store in the meantime - eg Delicious Library had to be pulled from the iTunes Store because Amazon changed their T&Cs -- Chris

Unfortunately, if it is removed from the iPhone (by either of the above methods) all the data associated with it is lost. Worth bearing in mind. -zoara- -- email: nettid1 at fastmail dot fm

Have you told it to delete old posts? It's in the download tab. What constitutes "old" is defined in the iPhone settings app. > If I delete an app I've paid for (e.g. Newstap) can I reinstall it for > free? Yes, but you lose all the data associated with it. -zoara- -- email: nettid1 at fastmail dot fm

Depending on what exactly is going on, and whether you synced and backed up before the restore, there's a chance that the Restore put all the associated files back again. I've recently discovered there was some destrucive cruft lurking on my iPhone, and every Restore-from-backup simply restored it. The only way I could get the phone working again was to restore the system software, but *not* the backup (ie. set the iPhone up as a new phone) and then reinstall all the programs one by one. I lost all the associated data from all my apps, but the phone is at last working properly again. MST |
