Was it when Jobs all-mighty came back to Apple ? (G3 days). I know that a year or two ago, they removed the "Computers" from their corporate name.

You haven't seen a Mac Menu Bar, visited Apple.com,or been in an Apple Store (or even seen a photo of the exterior of an Apple Store) in all those years? > I know that a year or two ago, they removed the "Computers" from their > corporate name. No, "Computers" was never in Apple's corporate name. It was "Apple Computer, Inc." Now it is "Apple, Inc." It's just a worst case scenario of the typical Mac user.

I have some of the older rainbow decals that have Apple Computer Inc. on them. Sometime after that, they changed the font to Apple Garamond, later dropped the word Computer off the decals too

I must have several dozens from over the years, but haven't used a one. When- and why- did they start? -- john mcwilliams |
