Sorry to post this here, but when I search the news.eternal-september.org
for '7' (no quotes) I don't find anything. Nor when I search for
"windows"

Make sure you signed up with Eternal September correctly, or you will only
see a small percentage of the available newsgroups. Also, right click on
the newsgroup list and Reset it.
