They met on the job and fell in love. They married and were often paired together as a married couple, which helped them keep their marriage together. In the end, Mary became pregnant and had Peter Parker. They entrusted Peter with his aunt and uncle often when they went off to do their CIA work. I think that as close to an answer you will come. JT

When things finally went bad within the CIA, Mary and Robert left and joined SHIELD. SHIELD had their eyes on the pair for a long time because of their work with the CIA and finally set them on a mission to investigate the third Red Skull (Albert Malik). They posed as traitors and double agents to infiltrate his criminal organization, however, they were found out. They were framed and killed in a plane crash at the order of the Red Skull. |
