From: William Miller on 12 Apr 2010 15:17 â Who made this connector? (with photos) Hi all, I need to find the source for these zero insertion force connectors. They're 2mm pitch locking connectors for stripped ribbon cable. Photos here: http://207.234.249.73/mwd/cu175_connector.jpg I need to know who made them, and if you can ID the series, that would be sweet, too. Thanks! William E. Miller prototech(a)usa.net

Here are some connectors i found that may be close to what you have / are looking for: http://www.molex.com/molex/products/datasheet.jsp?part=active/0525591272_FFC_FPC_CONNECTORS.xml&channel=Products&Lang=en-US http://www.molex.com/molex/products/datasheet.jsp?part=active/0528933095_FFC_FPC_CONNECTORS.xml&channel=Products&Lang=en-US http://www.molex.com/molex/products/datasheet.jsp?part=active/0541044096_FFC_FPC_CONNECTORS.xml&channel=Products&Lang=en-US http://www.molex.com/molex/products/datasheet.jsp?part=active/0527461870_FFC_FPC_CONNECTORS.xml&channel=Products&Lang=en-US My wild guess is that a "flex" circuit (ie: Kapton ribbon) cable is involved, and there are a number of PCB connectors made for ZIF connections. I have seen one or two and they seem to have a slideable "cuff" that clamps in one position and allows easy entry/exit in the other position. Anyway, i do not know the technical term(s) for these but think i have found something that might do (or get you close). |
