There's CocaAspell out there <http://cocoaspell.leuski.net/> It'll work using the normal Mac spelling checking mechanism - but using a Mac port of the Aspell spelling checker to do the donkey work instead of Apple's spelling checking code. This is very handy for LaTeX pervs like me /in principle/. But: the support ain't great, the documentation is almost non-existent (one gets lots of things to manage and no instructions on how to do so), and (worst of all) the available UK English word lists do not do what they say on the tin. I use Excalibur for almost all my spelling checking. <http://excalibur.sourceforge.net/> I like it - been around for ages, still works well, still maintained. Drag-and-drop or via the clipboard is the easy way to use it - it's an outboard spelling checker. Rowland. P.S. The subject change? Yeah: <http://www.excalibur.com/> - currently displaying a special offer: `All you can eat all day long for only $29.99' Okay, it's `Excalibur Hotel Casino Las Vegas', but still... -- Remove the animal for email address: rowland.mcdonnell(a)dog.physics.org Sorry - the spam got to me http://www.mag-uk.org http://www.bmf.co.uk UK biker?
