From: Laurenn0611 on 17 Feb 2010 11:46 I created a Table of Contents that displays the pages correctly and e-mailed the doc. When you open that attachment all of the pages in the TOC are displayed as 3. How do I get it to stop doing this?
From: Suzanne S. Barnhill on 17 Feb 2010 12:18 That is a result of opening in Reading Layout view (Full Screen Reading view in Word 2007). There are three possible workarounds, none of which you can control on the sending end but can only recommend to the recipient: 1. Don't open the attachment directly; instead, save it to the hard drive and open it from there (Word uses RL/FSR view only for attachments opened directly). 2. Disable RL/FSR view at Tools | Options | General or Office Button | Word Options | Popular. Attachments can then be opened directly and will be displayed in the view in which they were saved. 3. Open in RL/FSR view, switch to Print Layout view, and update the TOC with F9. -- Suzanne S.
