Having upgraded to Office 2007, I found that the "insert" key on the keyboard
no longer works! I reinstalled the software for my Microsoft keyboard but
this has made no difference. Not being able to overtype is going to be a
real pain!

By default, in Word 2007 the Insert key does not toggle Overtype mode. To
restore the behavior of previous versions: Click the Office button, and then
click Word Options. In the Advanced category, select "Use the Insert key to
control overtype mode." Click OK.
