From: Ignoramus27891 on 27 Jan 2010 16:42 I had some luck talking to the card using cu (I find minicom to be very loaded with features that I do not personally understand). cu -s 19200 -l /dev/ttyUSB0 that works. However, I could not use any commands beyond AT and ATZ, and the post from natisbad.org lists commands that are not valid for this card. I tried calling Franklin wireless, and there it was not a lot of success. I have a feeling that I may be close to the answer, but without a command reference, it is hard to accomplish anything. If I can find a "USB Serial spy for Windows", and could intercept the commands that the Sprint program sends to the modem, then I would know what to do. i

More progress. I found this PDF: http://www.canarysystems.com/nsupport/CDMA_AT_Commands.pdf On page 19, it lists Qualcomm commands. Together with "cu" I can now talk to this modem. I tried one command so far (get mode setting) and it works. i On 2010-01-27, Ignoramus27891 <ignoramus27891(a)NOSPAM.27891.invalid> wrote: > I had some luck talking to the card using cu (I find minicom to be > very loaded with features that I do not personally understand). > > cu -s 19200 -l /dev/ttyUSB0 > > that works. > > However, I could not use any commands beyond AT and ATZ, and the post > from natisbad.org lists commands that are not valid for this card. > > I tried calling Franklin wireless, and there it was not a lot of > success. > > I have a feeling that I may be close to the answer, but without a > command reference, it is hard to accomplish anything. > > If I can find a "USB Serial spy for Windows", and could intercept the > commands that the Sprint program sends to the modem, then I would know > what to do. > > i |
