How can I fix this?? How do you mean "they come OUT in Wordpad"? Are you saying that if you double-click a Word attachment it OPENS in Wordpad?
From: Bob I on 8 Feb 2010 10:25 Wordpad will open doc files. What Version of Word are you using? 2007? Run Microsoft Office Diagnostics. mare2852 wrote: > Please help....ever since I changed to Outlook 2007, when I receive emails > with attachments that should be in 'Word' they come out in 'Wordpad' - does > this mean that when I send Word attachments they don't come out properly > either?? How can I fix this?? Wordpad can open RTF and DOC files (but obviously cannot support all the formatting features of Word for DOC files). Okay, so you have Outlook 2007 installed. That says nothing about what you installed, if anything, to handle DOC files. So did you also install Word 2007? Was Outlook 2007 part of an MS Office 2007 suite and, if so, did you install the other components of that suite, like Word 2007? If you don't have Word installed, you can't use it.
