Sometime between now and the 1st October it will be gone. There hasn't been an update post yet with a confirmed date as far as I can see, but all NNTP access will be gone as of the 1st October. -- Dan

Your ISP's news server might be one of them, and there are free news servers that will still offer it. I still subscribe to some of the "cancelled" newsgroups in that manner. Just because msnews drops them doesn't mean they will be inaccessible.
