From: Mike950 on 25 Jul 2010 02:24 Hi James, Apparently MS isn't supporting newgroups anymore but the closest thing I could find is this: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/windows7 Hope that helps. From: MapleE. on 25 Jul 2010 09:41 Long ago, .... in my recollection, ... when I first started to post queries and answers in any MS Newsgroup, I could use 'real' my e-mail address and received answers to my queries not only this site/general view but also by my e-mail address. However, after about three years later, this practice completely ceased and needed to create 'fake' e-mail address. Then, in my guess, ... all MS Newsgroups have changed one after another, ... from 'real e-mail address' to 'fake one.' Now, all MS Newsgroups went to the web-site. For me, it's a sad change, ... but probably, the society including this site needed to change according to the people's reaction and general society. Hopefully, web-site is as good as this site. You can (always have been able to) use your real email address. It was *suggested* you use a fake email address - but you never 'needed' to. -- Shenan Stanley MS-MVP -- How To Ask Questions The Smart Way http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html

Not all Usenet servers carry it. Unfortunately, it's mostly been taken over by a clique of Windows/Linux advocacy fanatics. Stef
