From: DH1 on 19 Jan 2010 19:35 Hello, WinXP Pro SP2 reboots immediately after startup (the Windows screen appears dimmed, then the reboot starts). I tried booting in Safe Mode, and the computer displays a list of files, then hangs at GBDevice.sys. I have tried a WinXP CD repair, however the reboot problem starts again after the repair sequence makes a reboot (when the repair sequence asks for any floppies to be removed for a reboot that will allow the setup to continue). I have tested much of the hardware and it passed all tests with PC Diagnostics, however the computer would hang when PC Diagnostics attempted to test the USB port. The mouse & keyboard are working on these USB ports. Any ideas ? Could this be a boot virus ? Thank you, DH
From: DH1 on 19 Jan 2010 19:40 I also wish to recover data from EFS encrypted folders so I do no wish to make a complete re-install.
