From: Ayaz Hoda on 12 Apr 2010 06:16 Event Type: Warning Event Source: SceCli Event Category: None Event ID: 1202 Date: 03/06/2009 Time: 11:51:40 User: N/A Computer: <Server> Description: Security policies were propagated with warning. 0x4b8 : An extended error has occurred. Advanced help for this problem is available on http://support.microsoft.com. Query for "troubleshooting 1202 events". I did try following steps as suggested in your reply but when going in GROUP POLICY tab it says "You have installed the group Policy Management snap-in, so this tab is no longer used" To open Group Policy Management, Click Here By Checking further we have two Domain controller Policies in Group Policy Management 1. Default Domain Controller Policy 2. Small Business Server Auditing Policy I personally feel the easiest solution for this is to delete secedit.sdb and all templates in "c:\windows\security\templates\policies" and run a gpupdate /force command" but I haven't tried this and not sure if its causes any other issues. I don't have test server otherwise i will like to replicate this error and try rebuilding these error. And I am not sure about what services I need to closes before doing this delete . waiting for some further comments Regards Ayaz Hoda
