From: יניב on 29 Apr 2010 06:46 Hi Neo, Thank you very much for your reply. My windows is 32-bit but according to Micorosft there shouldnt be a problem to Enterprise Edition (it can take up to 64 Giga): http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa366778(VS.85).aspx#physical_memory_limits_windows_server_2008 The server is a Virtual machine on Vmware ESX server. Do i need the /3gb switch in my case? Tnx, Yaniv. "neo" wrote: > Is your Windows 2008 installation 32 or 64 bits? From: neo on 29 Apr 2010 08:11 Take the "PAE" link in the paragraph under "Physical Memory Limits: Windows Server 2008". You will have to work thru this using BCDEdit because we don't if PAE is enabled or not in the guest. Another good link for you might be: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff542202.aspx "יניב" <@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:D2AE1A03-BB20-494B-BE81-2C9C17A54F48(a)microsoft.com... > Hi Neo, > Thank you very much for your reply. > My windows is 32-bit but according to Micorosft there shouldnt be a > problem > to Enterprise Edition (it can take up to 64 Giga): > http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa366778(VS.85).aspx#physical_memory_limits_windows_server_2008 > > The server is a Virtual machine on Vmware ESX server. > Do i need the /3gb switch in my case? > > Tnx, Yaniv. > > > "neo" wrote: > >> Is your Windows 2008 installation 32 or 64 bits?
