From: JohnB on 23 Apr 2010 08:13 There's a *feature* in Windows 7, when joining a domain (assuming you have the Pro version) you have to specify your DNS server in TCP/IP properties. Otherwise it is unable to find your DC. Don't you just love these improvments to Windows! From: Kerry Brown on 23 Apr 2010 10:39 The DNS settings on the 2008 server look wrong. If it's a domain controller it should be pointing to itself only. You have it pointing to itself with IPv6 but to other servers that look like public addresses with IPv4. Until you get DNS properly configured for active directory on the server and the clients you will have many problems. XP would sort of work in an AD environment with misconfigured DNS.
