And they wonder why people pirate their products... How home users can justify say, $400 for what appears to them is a cheap CD that makes the computer run, I dunno. For the average family $400 is probably a good portion of the kids' new schoolbooks, or a uniform or two. I think that I'll stick with XP SP2. It's doing fine for us.

He collected his Windows 7 Pro (full) from Costco. Cost - US$90.00. We are, indeed, being royally screwed. I'll stick with XP for awhile longer. The OEM cost of Windows 7 is ca. US$50.00, for system builders. I'm determined not to pay more than AUS$100.00, when I buy it with my next system/laptop. -- Trevor Wilson www.rageaudio.com.au

I hate Vista and Office 2007! Good old xp fine. People will one day learn that the best upgrade is a hardware upgrade only... new computer + same old OS = very much faster PC.

I think people who don't like Office 2007 just didn't bother learning how it works. It is really excellent in my opinion. As a person who creates many footnoted documents I greatly appreaciate its capacity to produce professionally formatted results with such ease. |
