From: P Wilhelm on 13 Apr 2007 17:48 Recently my corporate environment has been plagued with issues of 100% CPU usage caused by the automatic updates and scvhost process. I realize that I could eliminate this problem by disabling the Automatic Updates service but this is a corporate environment and that is simply not an option as it would totally blobk our ability to manage Windows Updates through the Windows System Update Server. Turning of this service is not a fix but only a band-aide to the problem. I have tried running the svchost update (KB927891) but this does not help at all. So the question is, what is the resolution to this error. It is obviously a Microsoft error so is Microsoft doing anything to correct it. This is causing significant downtime for my users. Are there any previously installed updates that can be removed for now so that the machine performances will return to acceptable levels?
