Help you what? I have quoted the entire conversation above. Given that - you have already solved your initial issue... Since you said, "I cant install any service packs" and then you said later, "I just successfully installed windows vista SP1". Modify your problem statement and give as many details as possible. My suggestions are: 1) Uninstall the Trend Micro suite COMPLETELY. 2) Ensure the Windows Firewall returns to normal (enabled.) 3) Update your hardware device drivers from the hardware device manufacturer's web pages. 4) Scan your system for spyware/malware using MalwareBytes (freeware.) http://www.malwarebytes.com/ 5) Reset your Windows Update components. How do I reset Windows Update components? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058 6) Reboot. 7) Check for updates. Report the errors (if any) you get verbatim here. Quote some of the previous conversation if you can. I realize that previously you were using some web forum that is synchronizing content to/from the newsgroups - I suggest you use the actual newsgroups if possible. SP2 may not show up immediately. Read through this: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows-vista/Learn-how-to-install-Windows-Vista-Service-Pack-2-SP2 In *any* case - come back and let everyone know how you get along. -- Shenan Stanley MS-MVP -- How To Ask Questions The Smart Way http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html |
