Word 2004 was automatically converting docx files to doc when I opened them; it would display a message asking if I wanted to convert. Recently, I accidentally clicked on the button that said "Don't show this message again" (or whatever the exact wording was), and since then, docx files open as docx and cannot be saved as (or converted to) doc format. I've installed the latest updates of Office 2004 and Open XML converter, re-started, etc., but nothing has helped. All I can do now is to save as RTF, which is not satisfactory for my purposes. How can I get the doc conversion option back again?
