From: ign on 30 Jan 2010 08:24 I had this issue too, it is most annoying when opening new docs too. It is easily fixed though. From Word Options > Advanced > Display, uncheck the 'show all windows in the taskbar'. All documents will then have the 'x' close icon and the min/max icons..
