From: Digitalic on 21 Nov 2009 15:13 When editing docs with track changes whenever the cursor hovers on changed text there is a very annoying balloon that pops up and obscures large areas. In Word 2003 there was an easy option to turn them off; a check box named ScreenTips. In Word 2007 I have tried: Word Options/ScreenTip style: Don't show ScreenTips and the changed text balloons persist. They seem to not be ScreenTips anymore as other pop ups are gone but the changed text ones persist. I searched many forums and MS found several tips that don't work. Changing the view to Final will stop them but it also means I can't see the changes. This seems broken to me. Does anyone know how to stop these blasted pop ups in Word 2007? Happy Trails
From: Stefan Blom on 5 Dec 2009 10:36 As far as I know, you cannot hide the pop-ups you are referring to in Word 2007. :-( -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Digitalic" wrote: > When editing docs with track changes whenever the cursor hovers on changed > text there is a very annoying balloon that pops up and obscures large areas. > In Word 2003 there was an easy option to turn them off; a check box named > ScreenTips. > > In Word 2007 I have tried: Word Options/ScreenTip style: Don't show > ScreenTips and the changed text balloons persist.
