Tools | Options and the Edit tab. In the top left box check Typing replaces
selection.

Hi,

On the Tools menu, click Options. Then on the Edit tab, select the "Typing
replaces selection" check box, and click OK.

Click on Tools | Options | Edit | check the "Typing replaces selection" box |
