From: Howard Brazee on 3 Mar 2010 12:50 Someone gave me a Word document that I need to use as a model. I started deleting old values, and it just created crossed-out blue versions. I saved my document and opened it and still have the history. My Word is up-to date Word for Windows. How do I turn off this history bit? -- "In no part of the constitution is more wisdom to be found, than in the clause which confides the question of war or peace to the legislature, and not to the executive department." - James Madison

Word news group: Via Web: http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/list/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.word.newusers In your newsreader: news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.word.newusers And when you do post you need to provide the exact version of Word you have. "Up-to date Word for Windows" is meaningless. If you don't know the version do Help-About (unless you have 2007 when it's Office Button>Word Options>Resources)

One row down. >Word news group: >Via Web: >http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/list/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.word.newusers > >In your newsreader: >news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.word.newusers > >And when you do post you need to provide the exact version of Word you have. >"Up-to date Word for Windows" is meaningless. I learned how Windows worked, I knew where to find my version, and then in Office 2007, Microsoft moved the Help-About. I suppose they must have had a reason. -- "In no part of the constitution is more wisdom to be found, than in the clause which confides the question of war or peace to the legislature, and not to the executive department." - James Madison
