You might suggest they prune the PDF in Preview or Acrobat and place the resulting spread 1/4 size on a landscape page in their Word doc. Of course, that means they will need section breaks around it and that means that Word will bust it into three files for printing or as PDFs. AND, depending on Word version, they may find that Word replaces the PDF picture with a jaggy low-res preview in the PDF output. Executive Summary: Microsoft Word is not fit for purpose. -- To de-mung my e-mail address:- fsnospam$elliott$$ PGP Fingerprint: 1A96 3CF7 637F 896B C810 E199 7E5C A9E4 8E59 E248

Well if you have Word, do you not have Publisher, which is more suited to the job. -- Geoff Berrow (Put thecat out to email) It's only Usenet, no one dies. My opinions, not the committee's, mine. There is no Publisher in the Mac flavours of Office. In fact I have never seen a Mac application that can operate on Publisher files at any sensible level. I think that is because Publisher does not have a sensible level. -- To de-mung my e-mail address:- fsnospam$elliott$$ PGP Fingerprint: 1A96 3CF7 637F 896B C810 E199 7E5C A9E4 8E59 E248

It's also not included in the 'Home & Student' edition for Windows either. IMHO Publisher is the spawn of the devil (along with Works) It's about the only reason I actually have VirtualBox and Windows installed. -- Andy Hewitt <http://web.me.com/andrewhewitt1/>
