From: kj [SBS MVP] on 13 Apr 2010 12:34 Agreed. Then again if no member server exists, WSUS will work on a DC. But it's sort of a last choice. For that matter, WSUS alone doesn't get much in the way of even being a domain member. A standalone server works perfectly well too. It is better to decide first and then install WSUS after.
