From: Steve on 30 Dec 2009 18:59 Hi folks, I hope the holidays have been good to you all. I have a issue with a HP a420n, with X-P home, SP-3. When I am done with a page and click the X on the upper right corner, it sometimes takes 15 seconds to complete the process and close the page. I realize 15 seconds isn't long, but, it sure is annoying. Do any of you have any idea of what's going on and how I can correct the problem. Thanks, Steve

A web browser? What version? What add ons (like extra tools bars) are you using? Is it configured to load the same pages the next time you start it (the browser needs to write that information to the hard disk). Are you clicking the close button for the whole application window, or a close button for a document/tab within the window's data area? How much actual memory (usually RAM strips) is installed in the computer. If the application is using memory resources beyond the actual electronic RAM installed in the computer the operating system might need some time to clear the overflow from the hard disk's page file.

This problem just started about a week ago. To the best of my knowledge, I didn't make any changes. > > Are you clicking the close button for the whole application window, or a > close button for a document/tab within the window's data area?
