Ah, ok I see what happened. There was only a single new post into c.l.j.softwaretools, and my reader showed one post. When it jumped into the newsgroup it went to the last msg, which was the op msg, then marked them as read. So I assumed someone had changed a multi to a cross-post. Seems it only cleans up already read cross-posts after I enter the group. -- Wojtek :-)
