From: JGuy on 1 Apr 2010 19:21 Using the Automated System Recovery Wizard and after all files are backed up the Utility will not write to the 'A' drive. It has does this for several backups. I have used the System Restore functions to create the files, but I would rather not have to do that each time. Also, the last time I did a backup it took 15 hours to back up 60 gigs. Another computer did this in about 2 hours. Both were backed up to external hard drives, but not the same one. Any ideas or help appreciate.
From: Leonard Grey on 1 Apr 2010 21:11 Why are you using diskettes in 2010? Why are you using a backup program from 2002? If you're serious about backing up, buy a real backup program. --- Leonard Grey Errare humanum est JGuy wrote: > Using the Automated System Recovery Wizard and after all files are backed up > the Utility will not write to the 'A' drive. Has the nature of taking back-ups of files changed so substantially since then? Why change a tool *just* because it's old? This newsgroup's all about an operating system that's older than that.

The "nature of taking back-ups" has not changed...the software and hardware available to do so has changed dramatically, and for the better. --- Leonard Grey Errare humanum est Olrin wrote: > "Leonard Grey" <l.grey(a)invalid.invalid> wrote in message > news:eBiyhFg0KHA.4548(a)TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... >> Why are you using a backup program from 2002? > > Has the nature of taking back-ups of files changed so substantially since > then?
