You've gotten some good specific suggestions from others, but I want to add the following comment: anything you do will just be a stopgap measure. The only real solution to your problem would be to buy a much bigger hard drive and replace the one you have. Fortunately drives are very inexpensive now, and you can buy a 160GB drive for around $40 US (Amazon.com has a couple at that price). If your computer is a laptop, it will cost a little more, but you should still do it. -- Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP (Windows Desktop Experience) since 2003 Please Reply to the Newsgroup

The 8GB is the size of the NAND flash module. I'm pretty sure you also have a 120GB hard drive, no? How many drives are listed in My Computer *and* in Disk Management?
From: vjp2.at on 14 Dec 2009 00:58 This laptop is also available with Linpus but there are bugs with installing software. Supposedly they are fixed in the new release. I noticed my Desktop XP had 4GB for Windows Directory! From: vjp2.at on 14 Dec 2009 01:06 The C: is the only drive and it says 8GB. I might be able to add a storage expansion (oh, darn, waht do youcall those things you put into cameras and PDAs? SB card?) But I got a factory refab precisely because I want my laptops to be "disposable" I don't want to carry around something expensive in NYC. Hey, I still have a 75MHz Gateway where the SECOND drive is 8GB. I still use it as my main machine, and run mostly DOS (75% DOS, 20% Win3, 5% W98) because I overpaid for all the software running on it, and I keep my file archives there. It's annoyances like Windows hogging so much space (and, BTW, XP is so much slower than Linpus on the Acer) that make me despise Windows. Both WIndows and Unix have turned into cults, so no one has the control over their computers they first got with the early 1980s PCs without bowing to the priesthoods. - = - Vasos Panagiotopoulos, Columbia'81+, Reagan, Mozart, Pindus, BioStrategist http://www.panix.com/~vjp2/vasos.htm http://www.facebook.com/vasjpan2 ---{Nothing herein constitutes advice.
