From: JP Loken on 29 Apr 2010 13:28 Magix Xtreme Photo Designer has been mentioned here before and nominated Pricelessware 2008. It caught my eyes because they advertised, among other things, that it could retouch blemishes, scratches or tears on photos. Photoscape and Photofiltre, which are the ones I use for editing photos, each have a good automatic filter for this. But it hasn't always worked to my satisfaction. Xtreme Photo Designer proved that it was a better alternative for a more *controlled* removal of scratches. The results were very good, even on multicoloured backgrounds. For me this app is a keeper just because of that. :-) Otherwise it's a feature rich and user-friendly program IMO. http://www.magix.com/us/free-downloads/free-software/xtreme-photo-designer/ Registerware, but IIRC I downloaded XtremePhotoDesigner from Brothersoft, and it worked without registration. http://www.brothersoft.com/magix-xtreme-photo-designer-88653.html ------ Magix have another freeware program: Photo Manager. http://www.magix.com/us/free-downloads/free-software/photo-manager/detail/ The download is 142 MB, IMHO too much compared with the features the program seems to present. I'm probably not going to try that one although it looks very nice and user friendly. Softpedia has some screenshots. http://www.softpedia.com/progScreenshots/MAGIX-Photo-Manager-Screenshot-47086.html -- JP Loken Sent with Opera's e-mail program: http://www.opera.com/mail/

I have a picture of 3 generations of the menfolk in my immediate family that has a flaw I've never been able to satisfactorily retouch. Maybe this will do the trick.
