From: Philippe Chaintreuil on 9 Jun 2010 13:35 One of our users sent a large (about 10MB) e-mail to Yahoo. Yahoo has not been accepting it, they don't give a reason, they just disconnect after getting the whole message: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jun 9 13:20:50 hobbes postfix/smtp[7398]: 02EB432E022: lost connection with e.mx.mail.yahoo.com[67.195.168.230] while sending end of data -- message may be sent more than once ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Small messages make it through without a problem, and sending the same message from a Gmail account works. I've tried messing with MTU size (down to 950 from 1500), various sysctl settings, DKIM signing and probably a few things I'm forgetting about: to no avail. The best I can find is this post: http://article.gmane.org/gmane.mail.postfix.user/208435 But there's no resolution. Can anyone suggest other things to try or other information to gather so I can figure out what's wrong with my setup or what's wrong with Yahoo (and how to work around it)? Thanks. -- Philippe Chaintreuil

I sense it could be a time-out due to DSL - but I still don't understand why it only does it with Yahoo and with no-one else. Instead of tweaking, spend the effort to become whitelisted. Wietse

Yahoo's defers mail for all sort of unfathomable reasons. As Wieste just posted, the OP should jump through Yahoo's hoops to become white-listed. -- Larry Stone lstone19(a)stonejongleux.com

If that does not solve it, see other suggestions in thread. -- Viktor.
