From: Ryker on 22 Feb 2010 09:57 Hi, I have a database located on a server with about three users. Two of the users have no problem opening the database and working. However, I have one user that when they open the database they get the message that they don't have exclusive access to the database and changes will not be saved. It is as if the database is trying to open the start form in design mode but the form actually does open in normal mode. Once all the errors are cleared, the database works fine. I have checked all startup settings and everything looks ok, and I have uninstalled and reinstalled Access but still the same problem. Since the other users do not have this issue, it seems it is a local problem to the pc. Any thoughts?
From: timmg on 23 Feb 2010 15:51 Do you get the same problem if one of the other users logs in to the problem machine? I'm thinking user rights might be a bit different. Are they sharing the same file? Is it a split front and back end? The more we know the more we can tell you. best, Tim Mills-Groninger On Feb 22, 8:57 am, Ryker <knight_1...(a)yahoo.com> wrote: > Hi, > > I have a database located on a server with about three users. They do share the same files. I do not think it is split front and back end.
