I have performed as advised and I see that under msconfig>boot.ini>advanced options>numproc and I got a 1 with no other selectable option.

I use WinXP SP2, on a Dell E6400. A repair install of Xp has not resolved the matter and I cannot perform a reinstall as I do not have the key.

Please assist.

check the /NUMPROC= box, use the drop down (v) to see if 2 is available, if
it is select 2, ok your way out and reboot, any change..?
Also, look in the task manager, performance tab, view, CPU history, to see
if you can select more than one graph per CPU..
