And i say "available" advisably, as yes, there is this nice-looking green button to click on for download; sure looks nice.. ...but after maybe 0.5 second of web access, i get NOTHING but "Done" on the bottom line of the browser. So, in effect, it DOES NOT EXIST. I tried, via Cnet, something named roughly like "DownTube" (GNU license), do not remember the exact name as it trashed Win98SE. Fortunately i saved the original \windows\system\shdocvw.dll elsewhere before allowing it to over-write the file. Used good, old-fashioned DOS (which can do practically ANYTHING) to recover. So i am going to quit while "ahead". Had the dumb idea that i could save an hour's of download for a few minutes of view (am on dial-up). |
