That sounds an awful lot like a spurious memory error. Have you
booted memtest86 and tested all of your RAM?

No, memtest86 is somehing I have never heard of actually!
I will look what that is.

I don't know if this could be RAM related, but I have been running tests
on other (non Sun) machines, cPCI SBC and which also have ZFS problems
but no issues under UFS.
