im having problems using my backspace button.

when i highlight paragraphs of information and press backspace intending to
delet it, it doesnt delete it, i have to individually delete the information
using the backspace button. Does anyone know how i can fix this.

When you highlight it, try pressing the DELete key instead of backspace.
Then backspace. Does that work?

In Word 2003, go to Tools | Options and the Edit tab. Check Typing replaces
selection.
