Can you provide a short numeric example? We cannot copy and paste your
examples as they reference a number of variables that we do not have the
values for.

Note that I do not work for Mathworks and probably have a more distant
relationship with them than you do.

Do you agree or disagree that the examples that Mathworks provided in the
description of constructing arrays show that space between a "-" and a number
is significant?
