when you create an email message in Outlook (using Word as the editor), you
can start to type in the address in the To box and outlook will automatically
complete the address or show suggestions in a drop down box. I think that
these suggested names are stored in a nickname cache. Is it possible to
create contacts from this nickname cache?

Start a new email, start typing a name in one of the name fields, and select
the name you want. Then right-click on it, and choose Add to Outlook
Contacts.
