Just finished a migration from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2000, and I'm not
able to uninstall Exchange 2000 from the old server to demote it gracefully.
I realize I can manually uninstall, but I'm trying to avoid that if possible
to keep it clean.

The error I'm getting is:
Setup encountered an error while checking prerequisites for the component
"Microsoft Exchange 2000": 0x80072030 (8240): There is no such object on
the server.

The bottom portion of the log is:

I believe this is what's triggering the error:
ScPRQ_ServerIsNotRUSResponsibleServerInTheNonEmptyOrg

I did some Google searches and found no help. Can anyone point me in the
right direction?

Hi Kremlar,

Could you verify if the Exchange services group, exchange domain servers
group and the exchange enterprise servers group are in the users container?
If they we're moved out of that container please move them back in and retry
the deinstallation.
