I am using Excel 2007 with XP Home.
I am a newbie.
I am looking at the legend on a bar chart.
Without changing my spreadsheet, how do you change the legend name say from
"BOB" to "BOBBY" on the chart without changing the spreadsheet.
Thanks

Delete the Legend and use a Text Box.

If my comments have helped please hit Yes.

Thanks.

The legend displays the series name, which is taken from the worksheet.
The easiest way not to change the cell that is currently used for the
series name is to go to the source data dialog, and replace the cell
address for the series with the name you want, in double quotes.
