I have made a chart in Word with percentages in a data label, when I change
my figures in my excel worksheet it changes the pie shape but does not change
my percentages. How do you refresh or update the percentage information.

EXCEL 2007

Make sure that the underlying data in the EXCEL Workbook is formatted as
Number (Home / Font group / click on arrow in lower right hand corner to
launch Format cells / Number tab / Number / OK).

If you do this (I have just tested this and seen in working on the screen in
front of me) changing the underlying data should change the pie chart
automatically.

If my comments have helped please hit Yes.

Thanks.

Thank you, I did check to see if the figures were in as numbers which they
were, but this did not change the percentages in my chart when I change my
numbers in the excel worksheet. I have Office 2007, do you think it might be
a setting that is not turned on to be able to refresh the information from
the excel worksheet?

Mar, not sure what's going wrong at your end.

Check this out and see if it helps.

Go to me website:-

http://www.pierrefondes.com/

Item number 85.

if you download it and change and cells B2 and B3 to, say, 50, chart updates
OK.

Maybe a copy and paste job?

Please hit Yes if my comments have helped.

Thanks.
