From: ~hp-hdx~ on 26 Mar 2010 09:13 Hi, This is just an FYI and hopefully will save somebody some time one day. I got a call last night from a friend whose Tosiba Satalite's XP got corrupted to the point where he couldn't get to his desktop, it endlessly looped. He had a recovery disk but couldn't get it to work. I remembered reading somewhere that holding down the letter key C and then turning on the laptop would access the optical drive. It worked. I was unsuccessful in finding that out at Toshiba's website or doing google searches. Luckily I remembered it. hal
